Work Experience Programme (WEP)

The Knox Community College Work Experience programme (WEP) is designed to give the students hands-on learning opportunities gained through internships related to their field of study. WEP is a requirement for graduation.

A Coordinator is assigned to the programme and is responsible for the coordination and overseeing of the Work Experience and Practicum components of CCCJ and UTech programmes. Preparation sessions are timetabled and are designed to ensure all second and fourth year students are employable and ready to represent themselves and the College when placed with an agency/company for WE.

The WEP Practicum Coordinator delivers workshops and seminars for students pursuing the Bachelor in Education and ensures that every teacher in training completes the required teaching practice hours stipulated by their programme. Information and downloadable documents for Work Experience and Practicum are available on ISIMS. To gain access, select Student Information, Placement Office and then the tab you desire: Community Service, Work Experience and Practicum.
