Application and Admission

Here’s a detailed, clear and concise step-by-step guide for new students:

  1. Explore Programs and Requirements
    • Click on the “Apply ” tab on our Home page or click here https://isims.kcc.edu.jm/apply/  to explore the available programmes of study, including specific admission requirements and duration.
    • Identify the programme that aligns with your educational goals and career aspirations.                                                                                                                             
  2. Create an Online Account
    • After identifying your programme, click on the blue highlighted area of your programme. This will take you to a new window where you will be see the “Start a new application” screen. 
    • Create your online account by providing your full name, TRN, date of birth, email address.  Click “Continue” to complete your Online Application. Fill out the online application form with accurate personal details, contact information, educational history, and the chosen programme of study. 
    • The following documents must be uploaded with your online application, as well as hard copies submitted to any of our four campuses.
      Two (2) Reference Letters from Minister of religion or Justice of the Peace, and the Principal of the last school attended or   your last employer.  Two (2) certified copies of your most recent school report/ transcript.   Two (2) certified copies of your examination results.  Two (2) certified copies of original birth/deed poll and marriage certificate (where applicable. Two (2) certified passport size photographs – taken within the last six (6) months.

      Note: All applicants for UTech or UWI programmes must submit an additional three (3) photographs and also apply online via the UTech or UWI portal.

      Documents should be certified by any of the following:

       Justice of the Peace; Attorney at Law, School Principal, Medical Doctor, Superintendent of Police, Minister of Religion or Knox Community College Registrar. 

       3.Confirmation, Acceptance and Follow-up

  • After submitting the application, monitor your email and online application account for a confirmation email or notification from KCC acknowledging receipt of the application.
  • Acceptance of Offer: You will receive an Acceptance Letter. Please ensure you click on the link to Activate Account. Respond promptly to any follow-up communications or requests for additional information. Upon accepting the offer, you will be allowed to register as soon as the registration period starts, which is usually the second week in August.
  • Registration: See registration process in the “New Student’ Tab.
